Scott Albert is the City Manager for the City of Hondo, Texas, and started working for the City in March 2021. Mr. Albert is responsible for the daily operations of the City. He oversees a city containing;
$46.0 million in assets.
$28.9 million budget.
The City Manager's Office is responsible for the following:
Implementing City Council policy.
Directing departments and the City's administrative functions.
Assuring an efficient and equitable delivery of City services.
Initiating and developing short and long-term special projects.
The annual budget process.
Mr. Albert has worked in local government for over twenty years, which includes fourteen years as a City Manager. He started his career in Plano, Texas, as a Management Assistant and has served as a City Manager in the following Texas communities; Fairview, Celina, and Angleton.
Mr. Albert earned his Bachelor's in Public Administration and Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Dallas. He and his wife enjoy traveling and spending time with family.
